Purpose of This Page
This page allows you to understand and manage optional cookies and related technologies used on MagDI Guide. Your choices should be presented clearly, without preselected optional categories or a design that makes rejection unnecessarily difficult.
Necessary Technologies
Necessary technologies are always active because they support security, page delivery, consent storage, fraud prevention, form submission, and other core functions. They are not used for optional advertising or behavioral analytics. Disabling all cookies through your browser may prevent some necessary functions from working.
Analytics
Analytics technologies help us measure page use, performance, errors, and general visitor interaction. They may include Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity. Analytics must remain disabled until analytics consent is granted where consent is required. Form inputs, medical information, direct identifiers, and sensitive health data must be excluded from analytics and session-replay systems.
Advertising
Advertising technologies help measure campaigns and may support audience creation or targeted advertising. They may include Google Ads and Meta Pixel. Advertising must remain disabled until advertising consent is granted where consent is required. We do not intentionally send medical records, diagnoses, symptoms, procedure eligibility, or other sensitive health information to advertising platforms.
Personalization and Functional Technologies
Personalization and functional technologies remember optional choices such as language, interface settings, or form progress. Rejecting them should not block access to the site’s core educational content, but some convenience features may not remember previous selections.
Change Your Preferences
Use the preference-center control on this page to turn optional categories on or off. You can reopen the preference center at any time through the “Privacy Choices” link in the footer. The selected consent-management platform must expose an accessible preference-center trigger at this location.
Withdraw Consent
You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal applies prospectively and does not invalidate processing that lawfully occurred before withdrawal. After withdrawal, the affected optional tags must stop on future page loads and the revised choice must be stored.
Refusing Optional Technologies
The core website should remain available when analytics, advertising, and personalization are refused. We may receive less complete information about website performance or campaign effectiveness, and optional embedded or convenience features may not work or remember settings.
Consent Records
To demonstrate and honor your choices, we may keep a record of consent or refusal that includes a pseudonymous identifier, timestamp, consent categories, policy version, source of consent, and withdrawal history. Consent records should be retained for the life of the preference and for up to five years afterward when reasonably necessary to demonstrate compliance, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. More identifying information must not be collected merely to record a cookie choice.
Global Privacy Control
Where applicable law requires it, a recognized Global Privacy Control or similar opt-out preference signal will be treated as a request to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising for the browser sending the signal. The signal may override an advertising preference previously stored for that browser.
